Scientific Research

    Focus on plasticity related solid mechanics and high precision/efficiency forming manufacturing of multi-function high-performance components, such as cold/warm/hot bending forming of tube, cold/warm/hot rolling of tube, NiTi SMA based tube joinning,  efficient creep aging forming of large complex  panel components, External energy field assisted forming, Precise forming of cross-scale components, etc.

     PI of six NSFC projects and three national pre-research foundations, Key member of more than ten projects such as NSFC for distinguished young scholars, "973" and 863

    Published more than 100 papers in many premium journals such as IJPJMPTIJMS and IJMTM. The original contribution paper entitled ductile fracture: experiments and computationspublished in IJP in 2011 is listed as the Highly Cited Paper in ISI web of Knowledge.

   Published 1 monograph in English (H Li, MW Fu, Deformation Based Processing of Materials: Behavior, Performance, Modelling, and Control, Elsevier, Nov, 2018), 2 monographs in Chinese (Local loading controled nonuniform deformation and precesie plastic forming - principle and techniques, Advanced forming technology for civil aircraft components), 3 book chapters (Hot Tube-Forming. In Comprehensive Materials Processing(Elsevier), (Tube Bending Forming Technologies: Advances and Trends (Taylor & Francis Group), (Formability and Performance of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu Alloys with Different Initial Tempers in Creep Aging Process(Intech).
